Synchronous Belts / Belt Sprockets
Tsubaki synchronous belt is a toothed belt made of rubber and is also called a toothed belt.
By engaging tooth profile provided on belt/belt sprocket (gear), rotation can be reliably transmitted without slipping like a V-belt or flat-belt that is transmitted only by friction.
By embedding glass, aramid or carbon fiber core wires inside, they have high tensile strength and are used in applications where accurate positioning and high synchronization are required.

Features of Synchronous Belts

-
Precision drive
As a mechanism of engaged-drive, synchronous belts realize precision drive with only little belt elongation.
-
Low noise drive
Compared to other power transmission elements such as gears, synchronous belts offer low-noise and smooth drive.
-
Lube-free
Synchronous belts are lube-free allowing a clean drive without spillage or contamination.
-
High-efficiency rating
Synchronous belts can transmit power efficiently with minimal energy loss.
-
High-speed drive
Synchronous belts can be operated at high-speed compared to other power ?transmission parts such as gears.
Construction
Backing
Durable and wear-resistant Chloroplene rubber (High Intensity Synthetic rubber) protects the core wires and enables long life.Cord
High-tensile glass fiber (or aramid fiber) with extremely low elongation has been used to enable high-precision transmission.Tooth rubber
Tooth rubber integrally molded with backing rubber enables high-load synchronous transmission.Tooth fabric
Wear resistance and self-lube enable smooth engagement and low noise.

Dimple
Quiet thanks to the adoption of unique dimples on the tooth ends.

Just Touch System
Just-touch system in which the teeth engage with the pulley at both the tip and bottom of the teeth enables high-precision transmission.

Lock Belt Sprockets
Lock belt sprockets are belt sprockets with integrated keyless locking devices.
Zero backlash through friction locking. Phasing, installation, and removal are easy No retainer for along the shaft axis is required.
Can be chosen from three types according to the application: S type standard model, N type that enables easy locking with a single nut, and C type that can be easily locked with two bolts using a clamp collar.
S Type

C Type

N Type

Most standard type lock belt sprockets.
- ・Strong locking allows them to be used with Ultra PX Belts.
- ・Flat installation enables lighter weight and space savings.
- ・S Type Aluminum, with a body made of extra super duralumin, and electroless nickel-plated types are also available.
- ・Effective for reducing weight and inertia even further.
Size
P5M, P8M, P14M
Enables easy locking with a single nut.
- ・Bore diameters starting from 7mm available. Ideal for small diameter shaft locking.
- ・Made to order
- ・Compliant with RoHS2 regulation (10 substances)
- ・The mounting position of the belt sprocket type BF type is different.
Size
P3M, P5M
C Type Lock Belt Sprockets use a clamp collar.
- ・Can be locked easily with two bolts. Can be used on small diameter shafts since they have excellent rotational balance and with no belt sprocket deformation.
