Power Cylinder U Series Multi Type

Features

・Longevity
A ball screw with a large load capacity extends its operating life. With the same dimensions as the conventional multi-series, models with 3x the expected screw travel are also available as MTO products. For details, refer to the "Special order" section below.

・High-speed Operation
MTO products can achieve high-speed operation up to 150mm/s. For details, refer to the "Special order" section below.

・Safe
A thrust detection unit can be built-in to detect overload and protect the machine. (LPUC)

・Rugged construction
The actuator area supporting the load and the reducer area are separated. Fluctuating loads will not affect the contact on the gear teeth.

・Drive multiple units together
Using an input shaft with enough strength allows synchronous operation of multiple units.

・Capable of oscillation
The input shaft and trunnion area have the same shaft center, allowing for swinging motion during interlocked operation.
Proper use and structure of each type (protective device)

・A Type (No overload protector )
A Type has no overload protector.
We recommend using with Tsubaki's Shock Relay, which can detect electrical overload on the input side.

・C Type (Thrust detection limit switch )
A thrust detection spring unit is built in to the bracket. It is effective during push/pull stopping or when electrical signals are required during overloads.
An electrical signal is output even when an overload acts from the load side during stop or when the stroke is over.
※Particularly, the built-in spring bends and absorbs the impact load when it acts impactfully.

Special order
The U Series Multi Type Power Cylinder has two MTO options: higher-speed operation, or longer life.
High-speed Operation
- ・Realizes high-speed operation at 150mm/s in all sizes.
- ・Allows for high-speed operation of equipment.
- ・Air breathers are attached to the actuator area. ※You will be required to indicate the location of breathers when ordering.

- ※The high-speed LPTC type with thrust detection unit cannot be used as a safety device. Pressing stops are not allowed, so use inverters for a decelerating stop. Contact a Tsubaki representative for more information.
Longer Life
- ・Compared to the previous Multi Series, this series has 3x the expected screw travel and reduces life cycle costs.
- ・Allows for long strokes when exceeding standard strokes.

This shows the relation between the rotating direction of the input shaft and the stroke of the cylinder.
Nominal Stroke
This is the stroke distance of the actuator. The manufacturing scope depends on the thrust.
Option symbol
