Lock Belt Sprockets S Type

Product photo
  • Most standard type lock belt sprockets.
  • *Strong locking allows them to be used with Ultra PX Belts.
  • *Flat installation enables lighter weight and space savings.
  • *S Type Aluminum, with a body made of extra super duralumin, and electroless nickel-plated types are also available.
  • *Effective for reducing weight and inertia even further.

Features

  • *Shaft and belt sprocket are locked strongly for no backlash.
  • *No retainer for key and shaft direction required. Easy positioning and phasing.
  • *A minimal number of bolts allows for easy installation and removal.
  • *Can be ordered easily be model number. There is no need to create a drawing for the shaft bore finishing.

1. Locking principle

The inner diameter of the belt sprocket and the outer diameter of the sleeve are tapered. The belt sprockets slides along the tapered surface when the locking bolt is tightened.

Force PP', which presses onto the shaft and inner taper surface, is then generated through a wedge effect.
This PP' force generates frictional force, which locks the belt sprocket and shaft strongly.

2. Lock Belt Sprockets S Type Plated

It is a plating specification that uses electroless nickel plating for the lock belt sprocket S type.

  • ・The electroless nickel-plating on the belt sprocket and sleeve, and the special coating on the bolt.
・In addition to high strength, non-backlash locking. provide improved corrosion resistace and dry locking without lubrication.
