Application
Overrunning
An application to alternately repeat the conditions where the inner and outer races of the cam clutch engage to transmit the torque and where they continue spinning around depending on the difference in the rotation speed or rotation direction. The operation is the same as the free wheeling of a car.

Purpose of Use and Operation Overview
The gripper performs the following actions:
1. →Grips the film and lowers it.
2. →Moves sideways to release the film.
3. →Moves upward.
4. →Closes to grip the next film.
Tension is applied to prevent loosening when the gripper releases a film. This may cause reverse rotation. Here, the BB Series is employed to work as a backstopping mechanism.
Advantage of using the cam clutch
- ・Space can be saved by combining the functions of a one-way clutch and bearing.
- ・By arranging multiple cams between the inner race and outer race, greater torque can be transmitted compared to the shell-type roller clutch.
