MX Series  Handling Precautions

  • 1. Swing arm, gears, etc. to be mounted on the outer race should be inlet with the outer circumference B dimension of the outer race (see here) and securely attached using the tapped holes on the outer race end face. The tolerance of its inlet section is recommended to be H6 or H7.
  • 2. A press fit of up to 0.025 mm is recommended between the shaft and inner race.
  • 3. Use parallel keys of the proper size and ensure that the key and keyway are fully aligned, so that there is no lateral play on the sides. Keep a clearance between the top of key and keyway.
Use JIS B1301-1996 (new JIS) parallel keys (standard type).
  • 4. To achieve high-precision feeding, a cam clutch of the appropriate size must be selected, as well as a high-precision brake and backstopping cam clutch. Furthermore, when installing the cam clutch onto the shaft, it is also important to eliminate any play between the key and keyway. High feed accuracy is possible only when these factors are combined.
We recommend using the high-precision slipping brake “Torque Keeper” as a brake.
