MG-R Series  Handling Precautions

  • 1. MG-R Series Cam Clutch consists of MG Series Cam Clutch and oil reservoir Excellent heat dissipation property makes it ideal for backstopping of conveyors used in continuous overrunning (mounted on the intermediate shaft of reducer).
  • 2. The outer race is fixed by a torque arm and the inner race is attached to the intermediate shaft of the reducer.
  • 3. When mounting the torque arm, securely attached with bolts of strength category 10.9 to the tapped holes on the outer race end face. For fixing the torque arm to the base, allow a clearance of 2 to 3 mm as shown in the figure right. Note that rigid fixation may cause failure.
  • 4. Prevent oil leakage from the shaft end by using an end plate with packing and sealed washers. (Refer to installation drawing) End plates, packing, and seal washers are to be provided by the customer at the time of use.
  • 5. When installing the oil reservoir to the outer race, do not forget to use packing. Furthermore, one of the plugs on the clutch outer race should always underneath (drain plug) and the oil feed plug on the oil reservoir should be top.
  • 6. When using the oil seal in a dusty environment, take additional measures to protect the oil seal from dust.
