Also called rotational intermittent feeding. The constant, cyclical motion of the outer race is converted into intermittent rotational motion and transmitted to the inner race (shaft). This application repeats engagement and overrunning at high frequency.

Tsubaki's SR Clutches
The SR Clutch and SRD Clutch are mechanical one-turn clutches to impart one turn or an integral number of turns from the continually rotating outer race (drive) to the inner race (load) through a simple lever operation. The SR Clutch enables accurately timed operation because it engages without a slip and is free from error accumulation. Adding an auxiliary device for positioning allows reliable positioning.
