Also called rotational intermittent feeding. The constant, cyclical motion of the outer race is converted into intermittent rotational motion and transmitted to the inner race (shaft). This application repeats engagement and overrunning at high frequency.

Purpose of Use and Operation Overview
This application is used to cut a plastic film precisely at a constant length. The speed of the reciprocating motion from the eccentric plate is increased through the rack and pinion system to apply forward/reverse rotation to the outer race of the cam clutch. The inner race is forwarded intermittently in one direction to feed a plastic film intermittently, which is processed into a bag by heat sealing and cutting.
For High Feeding Accuracy ・・・
For the operation described above, brakes are indispensable to stop the inertia of the rollers to ensure precise feeding accuracy. The figure on the left explains a brake using a car as an example. There is a travel error before the car stops completely between the cases where weak brakes are applied and strong brakes are applied. In order to eliminate an error with high accuracy, it is necessary to use brakes that provide a stable torque.
Advantage of using the cam clutch
