Overrunning
An application to alternately repeat the conditions where the inner and outer races of the cam clutch engage to transmit the torque and where they continue spinning around depending on the difference in the rotation speed or rotation direction. The operation is the same as the free wheeling of a car.

Purpose of Use and Operation Overview
At the beginning of the equipment startup, the motor drives the pump and the water is sent to the required sections. The water circulates through various sections and then returns to the pool under high pressure. This high pressure of the water before it returns to the pool is used to drive the recovery pump. The cam clutch box overruns while the pump is driven by the motor. When the recovery pump starts up and its speed reaches the motor speed, the cam clutch box automatically engages to reduce the load on the motor. This saves on power consumption by the motor, resulting in energy savings and CO2 emission reduction.

Our cam clutch boxes store sufficient lubrication oil inside the housing. You can select the optimum lubrication method such as an oil bath, self lubrication, and forced lubrication, according to the usage conditions. Moreover, we can make suggestions for various sizes and lubrication requirements based on the torque capacity, rotation speed for engagement, and rotation speed for overrunning. To use a cam clutch for a turning operation, you can select the TB series, which is a cam clutch combined with a worm gear reducer. Since the cam clutch and reducer have been integrated, you can design a compact turning device.
