Technical Data Small size conveyor chain Free flow
What is free flow?

Free-flow is a method in which the chain is kept moving, the material is held at a desired location by a stopper, and then the stopper is released and the material is conveyed again.
The chain is kept moving and the material being conveyed is prevented from moving by a stopper, etc. The condition in which the chain and the material are sliding or rolling is called an accumulating condition.
The following four types of free flow are available in the lineup.
Types of free-flow chains
1. Outboard Roller Chain
[Staggered Pattern ]

[Crosswise Pattern ]
Features
- ・Vertical dimensions are minimal, making it suitable for compact conveyors.
- ・With brakes, pallet acceleration time can be shortened.
- ・There are two types of SR arrangements: staggered and crosswise.
(Staggered type allows smooth pallet transfer )
Application :Wide range from the electrical and electronics industries to automobiles.
2. Top Roller Chain

Features
- ・The width of the chain itself is smaller than other types.
- ・Double-strands chain with larger transport capacity are also available.
- ・Topple prevention attachments can be installed.
Application :Mainly for automotive and precision machinery industries [ex. :Engine block conveyance ]

3. Center Roller Chains

Features
- ・Compared to chains with top rollers, the center of gravity is lower, and the rollers on both sides for stable conveyance.
- ・Chain speed is constant, unlike Double Plus Chain.
- ・The rails and other peripheral components are the same as for Double Plus Chain.
Application :Mainly for automotive industry (Component conveyance )
4. Double Plus Free Flow Chains

Features
- ・Conveyed objects move at 2.5 times the speed of the chain.
- ・Chain speed can be reduced and noise level is low.
- ・A wide range of peripheral components such as rails are available.
- ・The roller material can be changed according to the application.
- ・Double Plus Chain with snap covers to prevent foreign objects from falling out are also available.
Application :Mainly for the automotive, electrical, electronics and liquid crystal industries
