This section contains general information regarding the handling of the TERVO HMTK, GMTK, SWJMK, SWMK, EWJMK, and EWMK Series.

Storage

If you will not be using the reducer immediately upon delivery, store it by observing these precautions.

1. Storage place

  • Store indoors in a clean, dry place.

Do not store outdoors, in humid or dusty places, or in places subject to extreme temperature changes and corrosive gases.

2. Storage position

Products are shipped and packed in the direction they will be mounted. Store it as delivered in the upright position.

If products are made for special installation, storing them in the wrong storage position may result in bearing section grease mixing with lubricating oil and spilling out.

3. Storage period

  • (1) Do not store products for more than six months.
  • (2) Special anti-rust treatment is required for storage longer than six months. Contact Tsubaki representative for details.
  • (3) Anti-rust treatment for export models is special and must be done prior to export. Contact Tsubaki representative for details.

4. Usage following storage

  • (1) Non-metallic parts like oil seals, oil gauges, and oil plugs wear easily from environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures and ultraviolet rays. Make sure to inspect these parts before operation and replace them if damaged.
  • (2) Make sure there is no abnormal noise, vibration, or overheating. If there is, immediately contact the dealer.
